HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's soccer head coach Dave Lombardo released his team's challenging 2015 slate Wednesday, which features four teams that went to the NCAA Tournament last year in addition to five home games in Colonial Athletic Association play.  "We've always tried to put ourselves in a position from a nonconference aspect to stick out heads out there and play some pretty good teams and I think we've done that this year," Lombardo said. "We're excited about the challenge we'll face this fall and are excited to get started."  After a preseason exhibition against former CAA member George Mason, JMU will welcome Georgetown to University Park for the first leg of the JMU Invitational on Friday, Aug. 21. The Hoyas went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2014 after knocking off West Virginia, a three-seed, on the road in a shootout. Georgetown then fell to Virginia Tech 4-3 in the second round.  To close the JMU Invitational, the Dukes will take on Seton Hall on Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. The fourth team participating in the JMU Invitational is William & Mary. The Tribe will also take on Georgetown and Seton Hall throughout the weekend at University Park with both of the Tribe's games being played prior to the JMU contests.  The first roadtrip of the regular season comes Aug. 28 when Madison travels down I-81 for a matchup with Virginia Tech. Though not facing the Hokies in 2014, JMU holds and all-time record of 12-4-1 against VT in 17 matchups, but the Dukes have lost each of the three meetings against Virginia Tech with the last win coming Sept. 21, 2008, a 4-3 victory in double overtime in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Following the matchup against the Hokies, the Dukes stay in the state of Virginia when they travel for a 7 p.m. contest against VCU on Aug. 30.  Opening the month of September, JMU welcomes East Carolina and Liberty to University Park on Sept. 4 and 6, respectively, before traveling to College Park, Maryland, to face the Terrapins on Sept. 10.  Coming home for a two-game stretch on Sept. 13 and 18, the Dukes will host La Salle, who appeared in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, and in-state rival Richmond. The Dukes and Explorers have met each of the last two seasons with La Salle taking both contests. The Explorers dropped a 2-0 decision in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Rutgers after earning an at-large bid to the Big Dance following a 2-1 loss to Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Tournament finals. La Salle has won the Atlantic 10 regular season championship each three of the last four seasons.  To close nonconference action, Madison travels to Marshall on Sept. 20 for the third all-time matchup with the Thundering Herd. Though not playing each other in 2014, JMU and Marshall met in both 2012 and 2013 with the Dukes taking both matches by the final score of 2-1.  Like the 2014 season, JMU opens CAA play against Towson with the Tigers coming to University Park on Sept. 25. Last year, JMU scored a season-high four goals against Towson en route to a 4-2 victory that put JMU on track for a second-place finish in the conference.  On the road to open the month of October, travels to face Delaware and Drexel for the third year in a row. The Dukes will take on the Blue Hens Oct. 2 in Newark, Delaware, prior to traveling to Philadelphia to face Drexel on Oct. 4. The trip to Drexel will be the farthest North the Dukes travel at any point during the regular season. In 2014, JMU needed double overtime before getting the game-winner from junior midfielder Rachel Ivey(South Riding, Va./Freedom) in the 108th minute. Two days later, the Dukes dropped a 1-0 decision to Delaware for one of its two losses during the regular season in conference play.  Following the two-game roadtrip, Madison returns home to host reining two-time CAA champion Northeastern on Oct. 9 before matching up with Hofstra on Oct. 11. JMU dropped a 2-0 decision to Northeastern in the regular season and topped Hofstra 3-1 in back-to-back games, but lost a thrilling 4-3 contest in the CAA semifinals in Boston.  The final roadtrip of the season on Oct. 16 and 18 will see the Dukes travel to the beach with matchups against UNCW and College of Charleston. JMU shutout both UNCW and Charleston in 2014, topping the Seahawks 2-0 and the Cougars 3-0. Of the five goals scored against the two teams, sophomore defender Jennie Sroba (Manakin-Sabot, Va./Collegiate) scored three of them to earn the conference Player of the Week for her performance in those two games.  Closing the regular season, JMU will host Elon on Oct. 23 before William & Mary looks to avenge last season's loss on the night JMU women's soccer celebrated its 25th anniversary and set the attendance record for University Park with 1,007 fans. Both games against Elon and William & Mary finished 1-0, as the Dukes topped the Tribe on an own goal and beat the Phoenix on a penalty kick in overtime.  The CAA quarterfinals are set to begin on Nov. 1 with the final four teams playing in the semifinals Nov. 6. The championship match will be played on Nov. 8 with the winner earning the CAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Northeastern has won each of the last two CAA Tournament titles. Â
