Sophia Davis was named the Colonial Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week, as announced on Monday afternoon.

Against Hofstra and Northeastern, Davis racked up 31 kills (4.43 k/s) on 50 swings with only one error for a .600 attacking percentage. Davis was lights out against the Pride, recording a career-high 19 kills with no errors for a .792 hitting percentage. She carried her strong offensive attack into the match against the Huskies, tallying 12 kills for her eighth double-digit kill performance of her rookie campaign.

After adding in her numbers from the weekend, Davis ranks 13th in the nation with a .405 hitting percentage on the year. This is her second CAA weekly honor as she was tabbed the CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 14 and the third overall for JMU this season.

Finishing the regular season with a 13-3 record in league play, the Dukes earned the two seed for the tournament and will play the winner of #3 Hofstra vs. #6 Delaware on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m.
