INDIANAPOLIS – James Madison earned the No. 5 overall seed and received a first-round bye for the 2015 NCAA FCS playoffs, the selection committee announced Sunday morning during the live selection show on ESPNU.  The selection marks the second straight postseason appearance for JMU and the 12th in its 44-year history. The Dukes won a share of the Colonial Athletic Association championship after finishing the regular season with a 9-2 overall record and 6-2 mark in conference play. It was JMU's fifth-ever league title and the first since 2008.  Madison, which ranks eighth in the latest STATS FCS Top 25 unveiled Sunday, leads the nation in three categories, including total offense (549.7), first downs (313) and third-down conversions (55.3%) while also ranking second in scoring offense (44.8). It also ranks fifth in completion percentage (66.6%), sixth in rushing offense (284.4) and seventh in red-zone offense (90.3%).  JMU is one of four CAA schools to make the field of 24 as it is joined by co-champions Richmond (8-3, 6-2 CAA) and William & Mary (8-3, 6-2 CAA) as well as New Hampshire (7-4, 5-3 CAA).
