HARRISONBURG, Va. – Senior guard Precious Hallwill miss the 2015-16 season after suffering a torn ACL, James Madison women's basketball head coach Kenny Brooks announced Monday.
"Obviously this is a devastating injury to happen to a wonderful young lady," Brooks said. "We're still going to rely on Precious' leadership to help us as we march forward and prepare to achieve our goals. She will be sorely missed on the court, but we know she's going to be with us off the court in more of a coaching role. We look forward to her contributions in that manner because any contributions that Precious can give us will be greatly appreciated."
Hall will have one year of eligibility remaining following the 2015-16 season. She earned 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year honors after leading the Dukes in points per game (20.8). She also contributed 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per outing.
"It's a very sad day for a young lady who has put so much work, energy and effort into this program, someone who exemplifies everything we stand for in this program," Brooks added. "We wish her a speedy recovery."
