RICHMOND, Va. – James Madison women's basketball swept the first installment of Colonial Athletic Association weekly honors on Monday as redshirt senior guard Precious Hallwas tabbed CAA Player of the Week and freshman guard Kamiah Smalls was selected as CAA Rookie of the Week.

In her return to action, Hall dropped a career-high 39 points against No. 13/14 Tennessee in the season opener, the second highest single-game total in JMU history. She followed with a 24-point performance against St. Francis Brooklyn, including 13 of JMU's first 17 points, to finish the weekend with 63 points. She moved into eighth place on the JMU career scoring chart at 1,569 as she passed former teammate Jazmon Gwathmey (1,555pts).

Smalls made a splash in her debut on Friday night, posting a 15 point – 12 rebound double-double in her start against the Lady Vols. She continued her strong weekend on Sunday with a career-high 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and a 4-for-4 performance at the free-throw line. Over the two-game start, she leads the team in rebounds (9.5 rpg) and field goal percentage (.632).

This is the ninth weekly honor of Hall's career and the first of Smalls' career.
