Ticket Information for FCS Playoffs Second Round

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison will be the No. 4 overall seed for the 2016 NCAA FCS playoffs and received a first-round bye. The Dukes open the postseason on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. against the winner of the first-round matchup featuring New Hampshire and Lehigh. Tickets are now on sale for JMU's upcoming playoff game at Bridgeforth Stadium.
How are teams selected?
The NCAA FCS Championship is a 24-team event, with 10 institutions receiving an automatic qualification by winning a conference championship plus 14 at-large selections. The NCAA looks at records, strength of schedule, head-to-head results, trends and several other factors in evaluating an overall resume. Generally, the selection committee has used seven (7) wins against Division I programs (FCS or FBS) as a standard for warranting consideration. The Dukes are the No. 4 seed and will play Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. in the second round.
What are important playoff dates?
Eight teams receive seeds and a first-round bye for the playoffs. The other 16 teams play first round games on Nov. 26. The winners play at the eight seeded teams on Dec. 3. The quarterfinals are held either Dec. 9 or 10 and the semifinals either Dec. 16 or 17. The FCS championship game is scheduled for Jan. 7 in Frisco, Texas.
How do I order tickets?
Ticket orders for JMU's second-round playoff game at Bridgeforth Stadium are being accepted now and can be made at JMUTickets.com or by calling the JMU Athletics ticket office at 540-568-3853 (refer to office hours below). Tickets will be emailed and fans should plan to print their tickets in advance for scanning on game day. Orders may also be held for pickup at will call, but fans are encouraged to use electronic delivery for both tickets and parking passes.

I'm a season ticket holder, how do I reserve my seats and parking?
Season ticket holders may reserve their season ticket locations for a potential 2nd round home game to be held at Bridgeforth Stadium now. Season ticket holders are guaranteed their regular season seat locations if they order by the priority deadline of 5 p.m. on Sunday November 27. Ticket reservations can be made online at JMUTickets.com or by calling the Ticket Office at 540-568-3853 during office hours (see below). Season ticket holders can request additional seats beyond their season ticket quantity. Additional orders will be assigned by Duke Club priority points following the priority deadline. Tickets will be sent via email for Print-at-Home delivery. Will call pick-up for tickets is available but Print-at-Home delivery is strongly recommended to avoid lines and to receive your tickets and parking before game day.
How will parking work for the playoffs?
Season ticket holders who reserve their seats by the priority deadline will receive their same parking as the regular season. Parking will also be delivered via email for Print-at-Home delivery.
If I wasn't a season-ticket holder, can I order tickets?
Fans who did not have 2016 season tickets can also pre-order tickets for home FCS playoff games now. Orders from fans without season tickets will be assigned seats following the priority deadline in order of Duke Club priority, then based on order date. Duke Club members will receive one parking pass with their order for lot R1.
