HARRISONBURG, Va. – Fourth-seeded James Madison will host fifth-seeded Sam Houston State in the quarterfinals of the 2016 NCAA FCS playoffs on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Bridgeforth Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
The Dukes (11-1) advanced to the quarters for the fifth time in school history after dispatching New Hampshire 55-22 in the second round. The Bearkats (12-0) remained unbeaten after holding off Chattanooga 41-36 down in Huntsville, Texas. This will be the first-ever meeting between JMU and Sam Houston.
It will be JMU's third appearance in the FCS quarterfinals since the 2004 playoffs, when the Dukes captured the national championship.
The Dukes are one of two CAA teams advancing to the quarterfinals, as Richmond will face second-seeded Eastern Washington in another quarterfinal.

I'm a season ticket holder, how do I reserve my seats and parking? Season ticket holders may reserve their season ticket locations for the FCS quarterfinals at Bridgeforth Stadium now. Season ticket holders are guaranteed their regularseason seat locations if they order by the priority deadline of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6. Ticket reservations can be made online at JMUTickets.com or by calling the Ticket Office at 540-568-3853 during office hours (see below). Season ticket holders can request additional seats beyond their season-ticket quantity. Additional orders will be assigned by Duke Club priority points following the priority deadline. Tickets will be sent via email for Print-at-Home delivery. Will call pick-up for tickets is available but Print-at-Home delivery is strongly recommended to avoid lines and to receive your tickets and parking before game day.
How will parking work for the playoffs?
Season ticket holders who reserve their seats by the priority deadline will receive their same parking as the regular season. Parking will also be delivered via email for Print-at-Home delivery.
Will the Duke Club hospitality tent be available?
Due to inclement weather and logistical challenges, the Duke Club hospitality tent will not be offered for the FCS quarterfinal game.
If I wasn't a season-ticket holder, can I order tickets?
Fans who did not have 2016 season tickets can also order tickets for JMU's FCS quarterfinal game. Orders from fans without season tickets will be assigned seats following the priority deadline in order of Duke Club priority, then based on order date. Duke Club members will receive one parking pass with their order for lot R1.
