On Sunday, February 12, James Madison women's basketball hosts Elon in a 3 p.m. contest for the second Duke Dog Reading Day of the 2016-17 season.Â
High-volume traffic is expected for the game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, allowing extra time for parking and entry into the JMU Convocation Center. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
The start time is an hour later than normal because Sunday's game will be broadcast on American Sports Network across various markets.
PARKING(parking map)
Only women's basketball parking pass holders may access the reserved Convo lots (Convo R, C, D), beginning at 1 p.m. General parking for the women's basketball game will be available in designated campus lots (Convo F & A, Festival C11 & C12, R10, P, G). Those general parking lots closest to the JMU Convocation Center will fill quickly.Â
In addition to the parking available at Convo F and A lots, parking is available in C11, C12 and R10, with shuttles running from those lots beginning at 1 p.m. and ending one hour after the game is completed. Lot R10 is located off Port Republic Road adjacent to the northbound I-81 exit with shuttle service departing from the front of the lot. Lots C11 and C12 are located near the JMU Festival Conference and Student Center with shuttle service departing from the bus stop across from the Festival Conference Center. Â
Parking for individuals with an accessible hangtag or license plate is available in the Convo G lot with shuttle service beginning at 1 p.m. to the Convocation Center. Patrons with a reserved parking pass and an accessible hangtag or license plate can access the limited accessible parking in the Convo R lot.
Additional parking is also available in G Lot and P Lot, located on campus off Bluestone Drive. There is no shuttle service from these lots, but the JMU Convocation Center is easily accessed via Duke Dog Alley. Please click here to see a map of campus for locations of these additional lots.

DUKE DOG READING DAY
Sunday is the second Duke Dog Reading Day of three scheduled for this season (two for women's basketball, one for men's basketball). Students in pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade from 46Â schools participated in the program and received tickets to the game after meeting their reading requirements. HONORS WON
At halftime of the JMU women's basketball game vs. Elon, the top three reading schools will be recognized on-court for their accomplishments with an award and a gift certificate to the Green Valley Book Fair, the presenting sponsor of Duke Dog Reading Day this season. Brandywine Elementary placed first, Elkton Elementary placed second and Fulks Run Elementary placed third.
