Tessa Mundell in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on the first day of competition at the 123
rd Penn Relays on Thursday at Franklin Field.

Meredith Willis and senior
Kennedy King finished 15
th in the Thursday heats in 45.94 seconds, good for fourth in school history. With the finish, the relay will compete in Friday's College Finals at 1:05 p.m.

Mundell also registered the fourth-best time in program history. Her time of 10:36.30 was a personal record, topping her previous mark of 10:38.35 achieved earlier this season.

In JMU's other Thursday competition, King placed 33
rd in the long jump with a leap of 5.25 meters.
