PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – James Madison's 4x200-meter relay established a new school record to highlight performances on the second day of the 123
rd annual Penn Relays on Friday afternoon at Franklin Field.

Meredith Willis covered the 800 meters in 1:36.19, topping the previous mark set in 2015 by nearly two seconds (1:37.95). The finished fifth place in Friday's heats to qualify for Saturday's Championship Invitational in the event at 2:25 p.m.

After qualifying on Thursday for Friday's College Women's Final in the 4x100-meter relay, the team of Johnson, King, Junior
Aereale Scott and freshman
Alexys Taylor improved their time by 0.06 seconds for the third-fastest time in program history at 45.88 seconds. The result placed them fourth in the event.

Scott closed the afternoon with a 13
th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 13.98 seconds.

UP NEXT
In addition to the Championship Invitational in the 4x200, the Dukes are also expected to run in the 4x800-meter relay on Saturday at 4:10 p.m.
JMU will also send part of its squad to the Virginia Grand Prix on Saturday.
