A 2004 graduate of Madison, Decker was a standout lacrosse player at JMU, earning Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American honors in 2003 and 2004. She was a finalist for both the Tewaaraton Trophy and Honda Award in 2004, which honor the top collegiate lacrosse player of the season. Decker earned All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) honors in each of her four seasons, including the league's Player of the Year award in 2004. Decker holds the JMU career records for goals (201), points (267) and game-winning goals (11). She also was a key part of three CAA Championships and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2001, 2003 and 2004. An Acadmec All-American in 2004, She was recognized by the CAA as one of the top 25 lacrosse players in league history as part of the league's Silver Anniversary.
