Alcohol Sales
It is prohibited to bring alcohol into Bridgeforth Stadium. Violators will be subject to removal and applicable legal action.
There are no alcohol sales at any Olympic sports venue.
ATM
There are no ATMs inside JMU Athletics facilities.
Bag Search
Small bags, purses, baby bags, etc. are allowed in JMU venues and are subject to search.
Banners, Posters and Signs
Banners, posters, and signs are welcome inside any JMU athletic facility.
In order to guarantee the best game day experience of other patrons, fans should adhere to the following guidelines:
- Size should not exceed 24 by 36 inches.
- Should be individually hand held (by one person only).
- Banners, posters, and signs should not contain any advertising, political or commercial message, derogatory or offensive language/logos, and should not be affixed to sticks, poles, or other objects for support.
- Content of the banners, posters and signs should comply with all CAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Banners, posters and signs are not to be affixed to any part of the athletic facility without prior approval.
Boosters
Are You a Booster? We have provided this link for representatives of athletic interests; more commonly known as boosters, to help answer any questions you may have regarding NCAA Rules and Regulations. However, if you are still unsure please ASK BEFORE YOU ACT!

Cameras and Video Equipment
Still cameras are permitted for JMU basketball games. However, in no instance may photography interfere with access ways, aisles, or other guests' enjoyment of the game.
Video cameras are not permitted.
Concessions
Concession stands open when gates open (60 minutes prior to the game) and are located throughout most facilities. No concessions are available at JMU tennis matches, field hockey games and swim & dive meets.
No outside food or beverage may be brought inside the AUBC.
Dukes Do Better - Sportsmanship
Show your JMU Pride and represent our community the right way - with pride, fairness and respect. JMU does not tolerate taunting, insults or rude remarks of any kind directed towards players, officials, staff or other patrons at our events. Any inappropriate language, including racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic speech, will not be tolerated by JMU Athletics or at JMU Athletics events. All Dukes are better than this.
Emergency Evacuation Procedure/Lightning Detection
In the event of an emergency, find the nearest usher, Public Safety Officer, or Cadet or call 540-568-6911. In the event of severe weather or lightning, the JMU storm warning system will become activated.
A 15-second horn will sound, and the game will be suspended. Guests will be directed to seek shelter in their vehicle. When the stadium is cleared for re-entry, the 5-second horn blasts will sound as the all clear signal.
First Aid
For assistance in any first aid emergency situation, please contact a Public Safety Officer or any event staff member or JMU Athletics staff.
Gates
Gates open two hours prior to all JMU Baseball games to account for batting practice and one hour prior to all other JMU Olympic sporting events.
Game Programs
JMU game information will be available at the program stands or JMU Athletics marketing tables, located inside the facilities.

For any questions, concerns, inquiries concerning lost or found items, or assistance, please contact any event staff member or JMU Athletics staff. Please contact 540-568-8810 to locate a lost and found item following your event.
Merchandise
Officially licensed JMU merchandise is available for purchase at the Team Store at Veterans Memorial Park for select games. Please visit JMUSportsShop.com for all your JMU merchandise needs.
Parking
Parking in all commuter lots is limited to students during normal hours but will be open to the public during all home sporting events.
Parking for each JMU Athletics Facility for Olympic Sports Events:
- Veterans Memorial Park - C8 and C9 are the primary lots with additional parking in C7, C13, C15 and C16. Officials may park in Lot Z. The access road next to Eagle Field between Memorial Hall and Water street is not open to traffic.
- Sentara Park - U4 off Neff Avenue and U5 off Port Republic Road.
- Godwin Hall - G Lot, F Lot, P Lot and Champions Deck.
- Field Hockey Complex - C10 and C12.
- East Campus Tennis Courts - D Lot, Convo Lots (A, B and E).
- Hillside Courts - C4 and R1.
Portable Seat Cushions
Portable seat cushions are permitted provided they are no wider than 18 inches in width and do not have armrests. Any cushion not meeting this standard may not be used inside JMU Athletics venues.
Prohibited Items and Behavior
In order to ensure the safety and security of spectators, student-athletes, and staff, the following items and activities are prohibited inside JMU Athletics facilities:
- Pets, except service animals
- Outside Food or Drink
- Alcoholic Beverages
- In-Line Skates
- Skateboards
- Bikes
- Scooters
- Weapons
- Illegal Substances/Activities
- Artificial Noisemakers
- Signage Sticks or Poles
- Backpacks/Bags over 8" x 11" x 12"
- Unauthorized Use
- Offensive Language/Signage
- Dangerous or Disruptive Behavior
- Running
- Smoking or tobacco products including smokeless varieties such as electronic cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vapor cigarettes.
- Solicitation or distribution of handouts
- The throwing of any objects
Recycling
JMU Recycling is asking for your support in keeping the parking lots, tailgating areas, and athletic facilities clean by recycling your aluminum cans. Recycling bins are strategically placed beside every trash can, so be looking for the recycling containers out there this year and "Get in the Game" RECYCLE!
Restrooms
Restrooms are located at every JMU Olympic sport venue.
- Veterans Memorial Park - plaza area, adjacent to each field
- Sentara Park - behind the stands on the concourse
- Godwin Hall - Hallway off the seating areas for both swimming and volleyball
- Field Hockey Complex - atop the stands
- Both Tennis Facilities - portable restrooms located adjacent to facilities
Smoking Policy
In accordance with University Policy 1111, smoking is not allowed in any venue. This includes smokeless varieties such as electronic cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vapor cigarettes.
Tailgating
Tailgating is permitted directly behind your vehicle and cannot occupy additional parking spaces or impede traffic.
Open flames other than gas grills are NOT permitted. Grilling is not permitted in JMU parking decks. Charcoal grills, fire pits, and open flames are not permitted. State laws and University alcohol policies will be enforced on JMU property.
Secure your tailgate area before and during the game to protect your belongings. JMU will not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen items. Clean up your tailgating area to keep our campus clean and traffic areas safe for travel.
Any violation of the tailgating policy may result in the immediate termination of tailgating privileges and/or legal action.
