A four-year letterman, Dosh (Class of 1978) was a key player during the JMU basketball team's move from Division II to Division I. He played on the Dukes' 1976 NCAA Division II playoff team was a team captain the next two seasons, JMU's first two years in Division I. He was a teammate of the top two scorers in JMU history but still ranks fourth on the Dukes' career scoring list with 1,458 points. He is second in team history in rebounds with 821, and he averaged 14.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for his career. His 366 career free throws made rank second in team history, and his 274 career assists tie him for eighth place among JMU players. JMU had a 72-32 record during Dosh's career.
