JMU WOMEN'S SWIMMING DEFEATED BY VIRGINIA TECH 166-120

BLACKSBURG, Va., Oct. 14, 2006 ? James Madison University traveled to Virginia Tech to kick off the 2006-07 women's swimming and diving slate and the Dukes came away with a 166-120 loss to the Hokies.
Senior Allison Keel (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) captured three first-place finishes for the Dukes. She won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.37 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 52.66 seconds. Keel also swam the first leg of JMU's winning 200-yard freestyle relay. She was joined by freshman P.J. Naber (Chantilly, Va./Chantilly), freshman Shannon Sparks (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville), and freshman Julie Stefanski (Westerly, R.I./Westerly).
The Dukes will have their next meet on Oct. 28 at Colonial Athletic Association foe George Mason University at 2 p.m. |
