WOMEN'S SOCCER LOSES 2-0 AT DREXEL

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Oct. 11, 2009 -- Drexel used two first-half scores to down James Madison 2-0 in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer Sunday afternoon.
JMU's overall record now stands at 7-6-1 and 3-2-1 in CAA play. Drexel's record is now 3-8-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the league.
The Dragons scored in the 10th minute, getting a goal from Alex Vazquez with an assist from Juliana Speroni.Â
Then, just 3:29 before halftime, Elizabeth Matta netted a goal with assists from Caitlin Gottier and Vazquez.
JMU out-shot Drexel 16-6, but Drexel goalkeeper Nicole Sinclair made nine saves en route to the shutout. Â Dukes' redshirt junior goalkeeper Diane Wszalek (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) finished with two saves.
