MEN'S SOCCER LOSES 2-0 AT GEORGIA STATE

ATLANTA, Ga., Oct. 17, 2009 -- Georgia State scored twice in the final 20 minutes as the Panthers handed James Madison a 2-0 loss in Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer Saturday afternoon at Silverbacks Park.
The Panthers improved their overall record to 4-5-1 and their CAA mark to 2-4-0. JMU's record is now 7-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play.
Georgia State freshman Juan Giraldo scored in the 72nd minute with a shot that hit the crossbar and dropped into the goal. Freshman Yasser Majluf's pass set up the score.
Senior Brett Cummins converted a penalty kick in the 85th minute to give the Panthers their second goal of the afternoon.
Freshman goalkeeper Vincent Foermer made six saves to earn his second shutout of the season.
Dukes' junior goalkeeper Ken Manahan (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) finished with two saves.
