WBB Announces Dates for Kenny Brooks' Basketball Camps

Kenny Brooks and the women's basketball Dukes are gearing up to host the 2014 Kenny Brooks Basketball Camps this summer. This year, the Individual Day Camp will be June 23-26 and is open to girls grades 4-12. Coach Brooks and the camp staff are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the game in a positive and energetic atmosphere. Campers will learn the basics of shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, footwork and most importantly have FUN!!! The women's basketball team will instruct and coach the campers in station work and 5-on-5 league games. There will also be contests and individual awards (each camper receives a t-shirt and lunch on campus each day).Â

Coach Brooks and his coaching staff will also be hosting a Team & Elite Camp from June 20-22. This camp is for athletes who are serious about the sport of basketball and want to take their game to the next level. The JMU staff will be running intense college level workouts while giving individual instruction and teaching advanced fundamental skills for the camper's respective positions. There will be competitive stations, drills and games against top level competition.Â
Team Camp is an option for coaches who want to bring their entire team and play against some of the top teams from Virginia, Maryland and DC. This camp includes a meal plan for each athlete and coach, air conditioned dorms, camp t-shirt, coaches social and a coaching stipend. 8 games minimum guaranteed. AAU, high school and middle school teams are all encouraged to attend and participate in 4 different levels (Upper Varsity/Elite, Lower Varsity, JV, Middle School).
