"This was a solid first night for us," Head Coach
Lauren Steinbrecher said. "In an opening match, everyone is working out kinks and kind of getting through some of the nerves. I was proud of the way we played tonight, but we all know that there's another level we can reach. We're excited to get back out on the court tomorrow."
The Dukes will be back at Sinclair Gymnasium to wrap up the JMU Classic on Saturday, as JMU faces off against Charleston Southern at 12:30 p.m. before closing the tournament against Villanova at 7:30 p.m. Norfolk State faces Villanova at 10 a.m. and CSU at 5 p.m. Earlier Friday, Villanova swept CSU 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament.
