HARRISONBURG, Va. – Senior guard
Ashley Perez scored 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field to lift the James Madison women's basketball team to a 107-37 win over Davis & Elkins in an exhibition game Sunday afternoon at the JMU Convocation Center.
Senior guard
Jazmon Gwathmey tallied 18 points and three blocks against the Senators, while junior forward
Da'Lishia Griffin posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Senior guard
Angela Mickens racked up a game-high nine assists on the day.
Freshmen
Kayla Cooper-Williams,
Savannah Felgemacher and
Logan Reynolds had standout days in their first collegiate action. Felgemacher poured in 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and Cooper-Williams pulled down 11 rebounds, while Reynolds filled the stat sheet with nine points, six assists and three rebounds. Reynolds had a perfect shooting afternoon, going 3-for-3 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free throw line.
