Football Announces Coaching Staff Change

HARRISONBURG, Virginia – James Madison Head Football Coach Everett Withers announced today that Defensive Coordinator Brandon Staley has left the staff to return to John Carroll as the defensive coordinator.
"Brandon was a very valuable assistant during this past season at James Madison." Withers said. As we move forward with the growth of our defense philosophically and structurally, we would like to thank Brandon for his service on year one of building a 'Championship Culture' here at JMU. He and his wife Amy have many ties to the state of Ohio and having the ability to go back to Ohio gives them the opportunity to be closer to their families. We want to wish Brandon and his family the best. We will move to enhance our staff and bring in a 'Fit' to the James Madison Football Culture."
