CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The James Madison diving team took home five top-five finishes in six chances on Saturday afternoon as the Dukes capped off their regular season at the Cavalier Invitational.
Sophomore
Taryn McLaughlin continued her dominant spring with another sweep of the one-meter and three-meter boards. McLaughlin took home the victory in the one-meter with a score of 291.45 before wrapping up her afternoon with a 331.05 to claim the win in the three-meter.
The Dukes put all three divers in the top five in the one-meter, as sophomore
Olivia Lehman took fourth with 269.40 and junior
Carly Alexander just behind with a score of 264.38 in fifth. Alexander matched her spot in the three-meter event, taking fifth with 267.15 points, while Lehman grabbed seventh place with 265.73.
The Dukes are off next weekend, with their next action coming on Feb. 21-22 when they kick off championship season with the Colonial Athletic Association Diving Championships, before the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on March 9-10.
