Hall Notches Double-Double in JMU's 66-51 Win at Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – Redshirt senior guard Precious Hall dropped a double-double against Delaware (7-8, 1-3 CAA) to power James Madison women's basketball (10-5, 3-1 CAA) to a 66-51 victory on Friday night.

Hall pulled down a career-best 16 rebounds to add to her 28 points to lead all Dukes. Freshman guard Lexie Barrier joined her in double figures at 13 as JMU finished the night shooting 40.6 percent (26-64) from the floor.

The Dukes limited the Blue Hens to a 25.4-percent clip (16-63) from the floor, the lowest shooting performance of the season for Delaware. JMU also held UD to just four 3-pointers (4-18), with three coming in the fourth quarter, while sinking seven from beyond the arc.

JMU also converted a 14-12 turnover differential into a 13-4 advantage in points off turnovers.

MAKING THE JUMP
Precious Hall scored in double figures for the 15^th straight game and used her 28 points to push her career total to 1,861. She passed Tarik Hislop (1,847pts) for third all-time at JMU, her third move by a former teammate this season after Jazmon Gwathmey and Kirby Burkholder.

DISHIN' IT OUT
JMU had assists on 14 of its 26 made shots. Freshman guard Kamiah Smalls had a career-high five assists, tying for game-high honors with sophomore guard Logan Reynolds.

PULLING 'EM DOWN
JMU edged out UD 45-43 on the boards. Precious Hall pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds, surpassing her previous mark of 10 rebounds from Jan. 6, 2015 against UNCW. Logan Reynolds tied her career mark of six rebounds for the second time this season.

JMU makes a brief stop home to face Northeastern on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. The Dukes hold an 18-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 9-0 mark at the Convo. The Huskies are coming off a 60-58 loss at William & Mary.
