HARRISONBURG, Va. - ESPN College GameDay's weekend of festivities kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 12, as the GameDay Bus makes its return to Harrisonburg and the JMU Quad at 5:30 p.m.
In 2015, legions of JMU students and fans greeted the GameDay bus as it rolled onto campus, stunning ESPN staff members and talent while giving the country a taste of the magnitude of JMU enthusiasm it was in store for over the weekend.
Fans are encouraged to build on that performance and pack the Quad from the Sundial to the steps of Wilson Hall to welcome the ESPN crew back to our beautiful campus. The bus welcome will take place rain or shine, and ESPN will film the entrance before having the College GameDay Bus available for tours. Attendance is free and open to the public.
Attendees may park in the Warsaw Deck, located next to the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts, or the Mason Street Deck, located adjacent to the Student Success Center. All members of the Harrisonburg community are invited to use the hashtag #GamedayJMU and tag @JMUSports and @CollegeGameDay in social media posts.
The Week Seven edition of College GameDay, the preeminent college football telecast on fall Saturday mornings, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on the Quad at JMU prior to the No. 1 Dukes' Oct. 14 contest again No. 11 Villanova.
