BLACKSBURG, Va. – James Madison men's tennis surrendered a 7-0 decision at Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon.
The Dukes (3-5, 0-1 CAA) fell behind 1-0 to the Hokies (5-6, 0-1 ACC) after VT took the first two doubles decisions 6-1. No. 2 doubles was left unfinished as junior Theophile Lanthiez and freshman Paul Mendoza led Mitch Harper and Alexandre Ribeiro 3-2.
The Hokies took the victory with two-set matches throughout the singles lineup. Lanthiez took Ribeiro to a 7-5 first set at No. 2 singles, but was unable to convert the set.
JMU is headed to South Carolina for a three-match week before returning to Harrisonburg for a seven-match home stand.

The Dukes head to South Carolina for a trio of contests over spring break. They begin with a doubleheader at The Citadel on Tuesday, March 7 before a match at Coastal Carolina on Friday, March 10.
