HARRISONBURG, Va. – Late runs doomed James Madison in an 8-4 loss to College of Charleston in a Colonial Athletic Association baseball game at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Dukes fell to 17-12 on the season and 3-5 in CAA play, while the Cougars moved to 15-16 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

Redshirt junior second baseman Josh Wyatt led the Dukes offensively, going 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Junior center fielder Mike Sciorra added two hits and an RBI.

Wyatt tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth inning with an RBI single through the left side to score junior right fielder Adam Sisk. However, College of Charleston responded with a Dupree Hart two-run triple in the eighth and two RBI hits in the ninth to go up 8-4 for good.

Junior left-handed pitcher Colton Harlow threw five and two thirds innings, striking out six batters and allowing just one earned run, and left without a decision. Sophomore Matt Marsili (0-2) took the loss for the Dukes.

The Cougars' Evan Sisk nearly went the distance, throwing eight and two thirds innings, allowing three earned runs, and improving to 4-0.
