WASHINGTON, D.C. – James Madison blanked Howard 7-0 en route to its fifth straight win to start the dual season (5-0).
Five Dukes went 2-0 on the afternoon, including senior Dylan Owenswho clinched match point with a two-set victory at the No. 4 singles position. She also teamed up with sophomore Jona Rokafor the first JMU win of the day, a 6-1 decision at No. 2 doubles.
Junior Emma Petersenand freshman Michaela Kluska wrapped up the doubles point for the Dukes with their own 6-1 victory at the No. 3 spot.
This is the first time in over a decade the Dukes have started off 5-0.
