NEWARK, Del. – Despite 22 second-half points from redshirt senior guard
Stuckey Mosley, Delaware used a big run early in the first half and late free throws to upend James Madison 76-69 in Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball action on Thursday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The Blue Hens improve to 13-7 on the year and 5-2 in CAA play, while the Dukes drop to 9-10 and 2-4.

UD was led by Ryan Allen, who scored a career-high 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including a 5-of-7 mark from beyond the arc. Eric Carter also turned in a 26-point performance after making 11 of his first 12 shots inside the paint.

Mosley led the Dukes by scoring all of his 22 points in the second half, shooting 8-for-12 from the floor with four 3-pointers down the stretch. He was one of four Dukes to record double-figure scoring, as sophomore guard
Matt Lewis tallied 17 points, and sophomore guard
Darius Banks and freshman guard
Deshon Parker each contributed 11.

Trailing by as many as 14 in the first half, JMU used a multiple runs in the second half to cut into Delaware's lead. Down 62-49 with under nine minutes to play, Mosley knocked down back-to-back triples to get JMU with seven, at 62-55 with 7:55 to play. UD extended the lead back to double digits, upping the advantage to 11, but JMU went on a 10-2 run in less than a three-minute span to make it a 68-65 game with 2:31 to go. The Dukes drew within three points on three separate occasions late, but the Hens converted all six free throws in the final half minute to secure the win.

FINAL NUMBERS
- Delaware used a 13-0 run early in the first half to grab a lead it would never concede, shooting 61.5 percent in the first half and 56 percent for the game.
- JMU shot 50 percent in the second half to finish at 43.3 percent for the night.
- The Blue Hens held a slim 31-28 rebounds advantage, but the Dukes controlled the offensive glass, with an 11-6 lead. JMU had 14 second-chance points, to UD's six.
- The Dukes only turned the ball over four times, as opposed to nine by Delaware. That led to a 13-4 scoring advantage off takeaways.
- UD shot 12-of-14 from the free throw line, which included making all six tries in the last 26 seconds.
- JMU outscored the hosts 40-35 in the second half.
- Senior forward Develle Phillips finished with a team-high eight rebounds, while Banks added six boards and tied Lewis with a game-high four assists.
