Roka Wins Flight Title at Furman Duals to Wrap Fall Season

GREENVILLE, S.C. – James Madison women's tennis closed out its fall season with the last day of the Furman Duals, capturing seven match wins, which included Jona Roka taking home a singles flight title.

Roka rounded out her weekend by going unbeaten in flight 2 singles. She claimed a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Charleston Southern's Liz Williams to conclude her weekend.

Natalia Nikolopoulou, Kylie Moulin, and Daria Afanasyeva each claimed their second singles wins of the weekend on Saturday.

Nikolopoulou won in straight sets against Charleston Southern's Zoe Cauthen, 6-2, 6-4. Moulin defeated Presbyterian's Beth Lacey, 7-5, 6-1. Afanasyeva won 6-3, 6-2 over Presbyterian's Zeba Jamal.

All three doubles tandems secured their second doubles wins of the weekend.

Daniela Voloh and Afanasyeva won 6-0 against Wingate's Chyi Lee and Camilla Ciacci. Roka and Moulin obtained a 6-3 win against a duo from Charleston Southern. Michelle Los Arcos and Nikolopoulou defeated Columbus State's Agostina Bigotti and Amanda Citre, 6-3.

The Dukes have concluded fall tournament play. JMU will announce its spring championship season slate at a later date, which will begin in early 2020.
