Megan Good of James Madison softball have been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.Â

Gordon started out the season on a hot streak, batting .471 after going 8-for-17 in the Dukes' opening weekend at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. In the Dukes' wins against Florida Atlantic and No. 6 Tennessee on Saturday, she went a combined 7-for-8 and hit a home run in four consecutive at-bats, including three against Tennessee. The three home runs were a JMU single-game record and currently sits tied for first in the NCAA for home runs in a single game.

Appearing in her first start since 2017, Good threw a complete game in James Madison's win over No. 19 Oregon on Friday. She allowed four hits while striking out eight in her first win of the season and the 100th win of her career. Good also pitched seven complete innings in a win against No. 6 Tennessee in which she tallied six strikeouts and allowed just three hits.Â

This is the third time Gordon has been named the CAA Player of the Week in her career and Good's 15th occasion being tabbed the Pitcher of the Week.Â

The Dukes will travel to Greenville, N.C. to face Seton Hall, Boston College and East Carolina in the Pirate Invitational this weekend.Â
