WILMINGTON, N.C. – James Madison men's tennis was handed a 5-2 loss by UNC Wilmington on Sunday afternoon, in Colonial Athletic Association play. The Dukes fall to 13-7 on the dual season, and hold a 2-2 CAA record, as UNCW goes to 9-8 on the season while improving to 3-0 in the CAA.
Senior
Pierre Kohler and sophomore

Josh Raymundo, both lost 6-4 to give the Seahawks the doubles point.
In singles, junior
Paul Mendoza grabbed a 6-3, 6-4 win to even the match at one apiece. Mendoza is now a team-best 14-4 on the dual season and has four wins in a row. Shortly after, sophomore
Gonzalo Adis and Steinour lost routine, straight-set matches to push the UNCW lead to 3-1.
With the Seahawks one match away from a win, Kohler forced a third set at No. 1 and Arce took the first set in a tiebreak. But Kohler eventually was dubbed a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 loss that clinched the match for UNCW.
Arce and Roberts both played super tiebreakers for their third sets on Courts 2 and 4, respectively, with Arce winning his 10-8, and Roberts falling 10-8, to give the Seahawks a 5-2 victory.
