Football Game Day Parking Updates

During the summer of 2019, James Madison University will reconfigure the layout of G Lot to accommodate the extension of the pedestrian walkway along Bluestone Drive. G Lot (adjacent to Godwin Hall and the JMU Bookstore) will feature a new design that will enable better traffic flow within the lot, more space behind vehicles for tailgating, and add five more parking spots to the lot. This project will be completed before the 2019 fall semester and be in place for football home games this fall.
JMU Athletics will also be adding the C9 parking lot to the football game day reserved parking inventory. C9 Lot is a single row of parking spots located off of Bluestone Drive on the approach to Duke Dog Alley. This lot will add 26 reserved (spot-assigned) parking spots in an exclusive location with close proximity to the stadium gates.
Reserved parking passes for football game days are only available through the purchase of a season ticket package and parking pass locations are determined by a season ticket holders' annual Duke Club Proud and True donation. A Gold Level Proud and True donation ($1,000) is required to be eligible for G Lot and a Silver Level donation ($750) is required to be eligible for C9 lot (based on availability and selected during the reparking process). Starting in 2019, a $50 Proud and True gift will be required to be eligible for Convo parking and complimentary parking provided to season ticket holders without a qualifying Proud and True gift will be in C10 lot.
Selection of parking spaces takes place during the reparking process which allows current Duke Club members to choose the parking location based on their Duke Club rank and current Proud and True fund donation. Scheduled for June of 2019 (after the May 15 Priority Deadline), season ticket holders who make a Proud and True donation will have the opportunity to select their parking online at JMUReparking.com. After this season, reparking will be scheduled to take place every four years (consistent with the reseating process). To maintain a parking spot during the four-year period, donors must purchase season tickets and contribute at the required Proud and True fund level by the May 15 Priority Deadline each year. Following the 2019 reparking process, the next edition of reparking and reseating will take place in 2023.
