Sdanowich Named to ILWomen Midseason All-American List

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison senior defender Caroline Sdanowich was recognized amongst the best in the sport of lacrosse this week, as she was selected as an ILWomen Division I Midseason All-American.

Sdanowich earned First Team Midseason All-America distinction, which is comprised of the nation's four best defenders to date by the voting committee. She is the lone Colonial Athletic Association student-athlete to make the Midseason All-America Teams.

A Tewaaraton Award watch list honoree, Sdanowich has accrued 41 draw controls, 16 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls while also scoring one goal in her 11 starts.

She ranks seventh in the CAA in both draw controls per game (3.73) and caused turnovers per outing (1.45) while leading JMU's defensive unit, which is tied for the league lead by allowing 10 goals per game.

Sdanowich and 10th-ranked JMU begins conference play tonight at Delaware. The opening draw is set for 6 p.m. from Grant Stadium in Newark, Del.
