Robertson Earns First Pitcher of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – Monday afternoon the Colonial Athletic Association announced its baseball Players of the Week. James Madison sophomore Nick Robertson earned his first award of the season, after pitching 5.0 innings of work out of the bullpen. The right-hander collected 11 strikeouts and posted a 2-0 record over the Towson Tigers.

Robertson went 2-0, didn't allow a hit or run and struck out 11 in 5.0 innings of work out of the bullpen in JMU's three-game sweep of Towson. The sophomore fanned seven in 3.0 frames in Friday's 5-2 win and retired all six batters he faced in Sunday's 6-5 triumph in 10 innings.
