WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – James Madison volleyball placed four players on the Virginia Sports Information Directors 2019 University Division All-State volleyball teams led by freshmanÂ
Sophia Davis earning Rookie of the Year honors as announced on Friday evening.Â

Sarah Martin earned spots on the Second Team. JMU joins Liberty as the two schools with the most selections.Â

Davis played in all 93 sets for the Dukes en route to earning AVCA All-East Region and All-CAA First Team and All-Rookie Team honors. Davis led the Dukes with a .391 hitting percentage, ranking second in the Colonial Athletic Association. She also led the CAA in total blocks, posting 133, collecting 18 solo and 115 assists. Davis added 2.76 kills per set and was second on the team in kills with 257.

White finished her final campaign as a Duke on a high note, earning a spot on the All-CAA First Team and being named an AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention. White recorded 230 kills and averaging 2.47 kills per set. The senior posted a .329 hitting percentage and added 99 total blocks.

Brind'Amour landed on the All-CAA Second Team after a stellar senior season. The outside hitter paced JMU's offense during the 2019 campaign with a team-high 283 kills averaging 3.04 kills per set. She racked up a season-high 18 kills against Charleston on Oct. 25 which was one of her 16 matches this season where she's had a double-digit kill performance. Brind'Amour finished second on the team in aces with 21 and averaged 1.87 digs per set.

Martin joined Brind'Amour on the All-CAA Second Team in her final season as the starting setter for JMU. Martin finished the season with 854 assists averaging 9.70/set to give her 3,140 for her career, good for fourth all-time. On top of her strong setting abilities, Martin added 92 kills and 74 blocks during her final campaign.
