HARRISONBURG, Va. - This past weekend former James Madison softball Dukes
Megan Good ('19) and Jailyn Ford ('16) wrapped up their season in the Japan Softball League in the league's playoffs.

Good, who plays for the Denso Bright Pegasus finished the season 14-8 making their way in the JSL playoffs. Ford helped Honda Reverta earn two byes after finishing first in the division with a record of 15-7.

In the first game of the playoffs, Good and Denso faced Toyota Industries. Denso took a 2-1 lead in the third. Three-time NFCA All-American Good started at DP for Denso. At the top of the fourth, Good recorded a walk, stole two bases and scored to help Denso increase their lead to 3-1. Denso could not keep the momentum going, losing 5-3.

This season Good recorded seven hits including two home runs and two doubles. She scored two times and drove in six runs.

Ford and Honda opened the third game of the JSL playoffs by winning 3-0 over Toyota Industries Shining Vega to advance to the semifinal match to face Toyota Motor. Ford picked up a victory in the circle after helping Honda defeat Toyota 1-0 to move on to the JSL Championship. In the finals, Honda kept BIC scoreless for four innings but came up short losing 1-0.

Ford was awarded Best ERA in the division finishing with a 0.72. The three-time NFCA All-American finished 2-2 in the circle throwing 31 strikeouts.
