HARRISONBURG, Va. - As James Madison University moves forward in resuming campus activities this fall, the JMU men's and women's basketball programs are looking forward to the inaugural seasons in their new home - the
Atlantic Union Bank Center. While the specific impact that the COVID-19 pandemic will have on schedules is yet to be determined, JMU Athletics will be proceeding with the basketball priority deadline schedule for August 1.
Â
Fans who purchase season tickets by August 1 will use our new, online seat-selection software that offers 3D views from every seat and provides a virtual tour of the new arena. In the event that capacity limitations impact the first season in the Atlantic Union Bank Center, season ticket locations and options may be impacted, but new seat locations will be guaranteed for the next full season in the new facility.
Â
In light of the challenges presented by COVID-19, we are expanding the options for season ticket holders to include a variety of choices to meet your needs. If we must make changes to season ticket options due to an altered schedule or arena capacity, season ticket and seat contribution payments can be fully refunded or credited towards the next full season of basketball in the Atlantic Union Bank Center. We are also offering flexible payment plan options to spread out payments further into the year.
Â
For increased convenience and safety, JMU Athletics is launching electronic delivery of season tickets for basketball. Season ticket holders will receive their tickets and parking electronically to be displayed using their mobile device or by printing at home. Physically printed season ticket and parking will no longer be available.
Â
In addition to eliminating the physical contact concerns that are prevalent at this time, electronic ticketing will reduce frequent issues related to paper tickets, including theft, shipping delays and lost tickets. This new feature allows ticket holders the ability to digitally transfer tickets to family and friends on their mobile devices, while still being able to sell tickets online through JMU's partner StubHub.
Â
Season tickets and parking will be delivered to each fan's JMUTickets.com account prior to the season and fans can manage their season ticket package online throughout the season.
