HARRISONBURG, Va. – Sophomore
Kiki Jefferson and freshman
Peyton McDaniel of James Madison women's basketball
 have swept the Colonial Athletic Association weekly honors as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

After stellar performances, Jefferson was named the CAA Player of the Week while McDaniel earned the CAA Rookie of the Week accolade. With these honors, the Dukes have now secured four weekly recognitions on the season.

Jefferson, reigning CAA Rookie of the Year, went off against Towson as she posted her second career double double in a career-high 24 points and a game- and season-high 11 rebounds with two assists. Jefferson was efficient from the field, shooting 53.3 percent (8-of-15) including a nearly perfect outing from the line sinking 6-of-7 attempts.

The sophomore was the anchor in the fourth-quarter surge to complete the comeback as she dropped 16 points on 100 percent shooting (5-of-5 FG, 6-of-6 FT) with four rebounds while Towson as a team put up 16 in the fourth.

McDaniel earned her second Rookie of the Week honor after putting up her fifth consecutive double-digit performance of the year with 11 points to go along with six rebounds, a game- and season-high two blocks, an assist and a steal.
