Dukes beat Temple 2-0 for Another Shutout

PHILADELPHIA - The James Madison field hockey team ended the weekend with a 2-0 shutout against Temple Sunday afternoon at Howarth Field.

The Dukes improved to 9-5 in the season while the Owls fell to 7-7.

Rachel Yeager started off the scoring for JMU Â in the second quarter with her first goal of the season off a pass from Morgan Merritt.
Â
Courtney Lynch brought the Dukes up 2-0 with her second goal of the weekend off of an assist from Eveline Zwager.
Â
The Dukes' defense was strong, keeping Temple to two shots in the second half. Florien Marcussen earned her sixth career shutout with JMU with a total of five saves.Â
