PHILADELPHIA - The James Madison field hockey team ended the weekend with a 2-0 shutout against Temple Sunday afternoon at Howarth Field.

The Dukes improved to 9-5 in the season while the Owls fell to 7-7.

Rachel Yeager started off the scoring for JMU Â in the second quarter with her first goal of the season off a pass from
Morgan Merritt.

Courtney Lynch brought the Dukes up 2-0 with her second goal of the weekend off of an assist from
Eveline Zwager.

The Dukes' defense was strong, keeping Temple to two shots in the second half.Â
Florien Marcussen earned her sixth career shutout with JMU with a total of five saves.Â
