HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison volleyball sophomore Miëtte Veldman has been named to the 2021 CoSIDA All-District Team for District 3, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Thursday.

Veldman currently holds a 3.81 GPA and is currently majoring in business management. Last year, she was named to the Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in fall 2020 and spring 2021, making the Dean's List in the fall and the President's List in the spring.

The Daleville, Va. native produced much offense in her sophomore season, swinging for 303 kills, and leading the league with 4.09 kills/set. Veldman added 170 digs, 32 blocks, and 14 service aces in the 2021 season, helping JMU finish 17-7 overall.

For her play on the court, Veldman was named Conference Player of the Year and received First Team recognition on Nov. 17.

The 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America Team for NCAA Division I will be announced on Dec. 15.
