Claire Neff scored her first collegiate points, leading James Madison to a dominant 79-55 women's basketball win over UNCW in Colonial Athletic Association action inside of the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Tuesday.

The Dukes (11-7, 7-4 CAA) shot 44.1 percent (30-of-68) from the field including knocking down 10 three-pointers while holding the Seahawks (3-10, 0-7 CAA) to just 34.8 percent (23-of-66) shooting to cruise to the victory.

Neff finished the day with a game-high 19 points on an efficient 77.8 field-goal percentage as she sunk half of the team's three-pointers (5-of-6, 83.3%) in just 17 minutes of action. Sophomore
Kiki Jefferson notched her second double-double in as many games with 14 points and a career-high tying 12 rebounds.

Jamia Hazell posted a nice stat line in 12 points, five rebounds, a game- and season-high eight assists and a pair of steals. Junior
Madison Green rounded out the Dukes' double-figure scorers with 11 points on 50% (3-of-6) shooting from deep.

How It Happened
The Dukes opened the game in a nice offensive rhythm, jumping out to an 11-4 lead (6:11) but the Seahawks bounced back eventually tying the score at 11-11 (1:40). Hazell made a bucket at the end of the quarter allowed the Dukes to gain a 16-14 lead after 10 minutes.

In the second, JMU could not be stopped offensively as the Dukes rattled off a 15-0 run that consisted of five consecutive made three-pointers from 4:09-1:35 that allowed JMU to jump out to a commanding 41-20 lead which was a big enough gap to cruise to the win.
