RICHMOND, Va. - James Madison men's tennis struggled in their second match of the season, falling to VCU, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.
The loss dropped the Dukes to 0-2 on the season, while VCU improved to 4-0.
The doubles pairing of
Holden Koons and
Paul Mendoza gave the Dukes their best shot on the doubles courts before losing 6-4 to VCU's Charles Bertimon and Quentin Coulaud on court one.
William Karpinski and
Oscar Hernandez played strong in their singles matches by forcing tiebreakers in their respective second sets, ultimately falling short in straight sets.
