HARRISONBURG, Va. – Two James Madison standouts were honored amongst the nation's best, as
Molly Dougherty and
Emma Johnson were named Inside Lacrosse Media All-Americans.

Dougherty earned a spot on the Third Team, while Johnson garnered Honorable Mention laurels.

It's the second All-America for Dougherty this year, joining her Third Team selection to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Team, and Johnson took home national awards for the first time in her career.

Dougherty recorded an 8.71 goals against average after making 135 saves with a .506 save percentage in her 16 starts. She ranked seventh nationally in GAA and ninth in save percentage, which was also second in the Colonial Athletic Association. She also ranked second in the conference with 8.44 saves per game.

Named the Most Outstanding Performer at the CAA Championship, Dougherty was a Second Team All-CAA pick and claimed a watch list spot for the third time on the Tewaaraton Award. She had seven games with double-digit saves, including a season-high 16 in the CAA title game against Drexel and 14 at Elon in the CAA opener. She also had double-digit stops against both North Carolina and Virginia during the regular season.

Johnson was named CAA Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-CAA selection after leading one of the nation's top defenses. The Tewaaraton Award Watch List member led the Dukes with 30 caused turnovers and 44 ground balls. She led the league and ranked top 50 nationally in ground balls per game (2.59) and was second in the CAA and 33rd in Division I in caused turnovers per outing (1.71).

The two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week ended her career as JMU's all-time leader in career caused turnovers, with 126, and is second all-time with 176 career ground balls. She produced five games with at least three caused turnovers, including a career-high five versus High Point. She also recorded nine games with three or more ground balls, led by her career-best five in the NCAA first round against Johns Hopkins.
