Dukes Wrap Up First Day of NCAA Zone Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A trio of James Madison competed in the 1-meter board on the first day of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships Monday afternoon at Lejeune Hall, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy.
Freshman Alexa Holloway, sophomore Maddie Yager, and junior Lindsey Hammar all participated during the opening day.
Yager missed out on qualifying for the finals by 2.65 points, scoring a 253.40. Her score is the highest score amongst Colonial Athletic Association divers across the five different zones. Holloway scored a 225.25 and placed 48th in the prelims.
Up Next
Four Dukes will compete in 3-meter board on the second day of the Zone Championships. Hammar and Holloway will return to the pool and be joined by sophomore Lexi Lehman and freshman Abi White.
