JMU Announces Promotional Schedule for 2022 Football Season

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics has announced its full promotional schedule for the 2022 football season, presented by CarMax. The Dukes will host six regular-season games this season at Bridgeforth Stadium/Zane Showker Field in their first season as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

The promotional slate kicks off on Sept. 3 when JMU hosts Middle Tennessee to open the season. It marks JMU's first home game against a Football Bowl Subdivision program and fans will be able to obtain free team posters, as well as placards, presented by Augusta Health.

The following week, on Sept. 10, JMU welcomes Norfolk State to town for Hall of Fame Weekend, as the newest members of the JMU Athletics Hall of Fame will be recognized during the game. It's also 9/11 Remembrance Day and ROTC Day. Other promotions include Band Day, Scout Day and Community Day.

The regular-season schedule also includes Family Weekend on Oct. 1 against Texas State, Homecoming on Oct. 22 against Marshall, Heroes Day and Letterwinner Weekend on Nov. 19 versus Georgia State and Senior Day on Nov. 26 in the season finale against Coastal Carolina.

Two games have been designated as color-out games for JMU Nation, as Homecoming will be a Purple Out and Senior Day will be a Black Out.

Season tickets for the 2022 season are on sale now by going to JMUTickets.com, calling 540-568-3853 or visiting the JMU Athletics Ticket Office inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
