How It Happened
- Despite getting outshot 5-0 in the first half and Oregon State taking all four corner kicks, the Dukes went into halftime tied scoreless with the visitors.
- Redshirt junior Suwaitbatu Mohammed took JMU's first shot of the match in the 50th minute, getting it blocked and setting up a corner kick. Off the corner, Attanasi was able to get her head on the ball but it went straight to Hailey Coll in goal.
- In the 54th minute, the Beavers got on the board off a cross from near the endline outside the left side of the ball. Service came charging in through the crowded box and found the goal with a header.
- Attanasi had a shot on target in the 80th minute from outside the right side of the box, but Coll caught the ball before it was able to go into the top right corner of the goal.
- Senior Mia Pham had a chance to equalize the match as well, but her shot was saved too in the 85th minute.
Game Notes
- JMU has yet to concede a goal in the first half this season. They have not allowed a first half goal overall since College of Charleston last season, a stretch of 12 matches.
- Blom has made five or more saves in four of her five appearances this season.
