STATESBORO, Ga. – James Madison baseball fell in the regular-season finale at Georgia Southern, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at J.I. Clements Stadium.

The Dukes head into the Guardian Credit Union Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship presented by Troy University with a 30-23, 15-13 SBC record. The Eagles improved to 27-28, 16-14 SBC.

Redshirt junior
CJ Czerwinski started on the mound for JMU and went four innings with two strikeouts. Sophomore
Coleman Calabrese led at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a home run.

Second Inning
Georgia Southern scored all its runs in the second inning, beginning the inning with a home run. A pair of singles would bring home runs before a fielder's choice made it 4-0 in favor of the hosts.

A pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases for JMU in the sixth to allow redshirt senior
Kyle Novak to hit a sacrifice fly to get the Dukes on the board.

Calabrese made the score 4-2 with his second home run of the season, hitting a solo shot the opposite way.
