JMU Announces Promotional Schedule for 2023 Football Season

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics has announced its full promotional schedule for the 2023 football season, presented by CarMax. The Dukes will host six regular season games this season at Bridgeforth Stadium/Zane Showker Field following their first season as a member of the Sun Belt. JMU went 8-3 in its first season in the FBS.

The promotional slate kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 2 when JMU hosts Bucknell while the department celebrates Hall of Fame Weekend. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for rally towels, compliments of GloFiber, and the first chance to receive the 2023 team poster. First year students can register now for the First Year Charge, presented by SunChase. Discounted Community Day tickets, presented by AireServ, are available at JMUsports.com/CommunityDay. Members of the 2023 Hall of Fame induction class will be honored during the game.

The Dukes are away the following three weeks at Virginia, Troy and Utah State before returning to Bridgeforth Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 30 for Family Weekend against South Alabama.

JMU hosts Georgia Southern on Saturday, Oct. 14 - sing the fight song proud and true at our Brighten the Lights of Madison game, with exclusive fan giveaways! Homecoming is scheduled against Old Dominion on Saturday, Oct. 28. The Dukes finish the season with two games in November – Saturday, Nov. 11 against UConn and Saturday, Nov. 18 versus App State.

The UConn game is Faculty & Staff Appreciation game, presented by CommonWealth One, Heroes Day, presented by Urgie's Cheesesteaks, and the 2023 Puppy Pound game, presented by Chick-fil-A. Senior Day is scheduled for pregame against App State.

Two games have been designated as color-out games for JMU Nation, as Homecoming will be a Purple Out and Senior Day will be a Black Out.
