SUNNE, Sweden – Former James Madison goalkeeper
Alexandra Blom has inked a deal with Mallbackens IF of the Elitettan, Sweden's second division of professional women's soccer.

Blom capped her five-year career at JMU by helping lead the Dukes to a Sun Belt Conference championship match appearance and the program's eighth NCAA appearance. She played in 22 matches with 21 starts that spanned 1909:10 minutes. She made 78 saves for a 0.813 save percentage while recording a 0.85 goals against average. She posted nine solo shutouts and combined for two more for a total of 11.

She leaves Harrisonburg as one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in program history. For a career, she ranks first in GAA (0.98), second in solo shutouts (23), fourth in total shutouts (28), fifth in saves 253) and sixth in goalkeeper games played (64), goalkeeper games started (60) and goalkeeper minutes (5590:19). In addition, she holds the top two seasons for GAA and total shutouts with 0.60 and 11 in 2022 and 0.85 and 11 in 2023, respectively. For solo shutouts, she recorded nine in 2022 and 2023 to tie with herself for second.

In 2022, she was named the Sun Belt Goalkeeper of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Team while becoming the first Duke in since 2010 to earn All-Region First Team honors. She began the 2023 season by being the fifth Duke ever to be named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
