JMU TO FINISH HOMESTAND WITH APP STATE

James Madison will wrap up its four-game homestand as it welcomes App State for a Saturday contest on Jan. 27. The opening tip is slated for 4 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
JMU leads App State 5-1 in the all-time series, dating back to 1982.
With a 6-2 start in Sun Belt Conference play, JMU (14-6, 6-2) is third in the league behind second-place Troy (9-8, 6-1) and conference leader Marshall (14-5, 8-0). App State (10-8, 4-3) is tied for sixth in the SBC with Old Dominion (12-5, 4-3) and Arkansas State (10-7, 4-3).
Head Coach Sean O'Regan holds a 2-0 record against the Mountaineers, with both meetings taking place in the 2022-23 campaign.

LAST TIME VS. THE MOUNTAINEERS

James Madison outscored App State 25-11 in the final quarter to come away with a 78-62 victory on Feb. 22 inside the Holmes Convocation Center.
Four Dukes scored in double figures, led by Peyton McDaniel with 18. McDaniel shot 4-of-10 (.400) from three and grabbed 10 rebounds to earn her first career double-double. Kiki Jefferson dropped 17 points on 6-of-12 (.500) from the floor and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Caroline Germond tallied 10 points and dished out three assists, while Kobe King-Hawea scored 10 points, highlighted by a trio of triples.

THE DUKES VS. THE SUN BELT

James Madison holds a 71-64 (.526) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 22-7 (.759) since joining the conference in 2022.
The Dukes have encountered Old Dominion more than any other SBC opponent, trailing 29-53 in the all-time series. Additionally, ODU is the only team in the league with a winning record against JMU.
JMU has never lost to Louisiana (2-0), Texas State (2-0), South Alabama (1-0), Southern Miss (2-0) and ULM (1-0).

James Madison sits 14th in the CollegeInsider.Com Mid-Major Top 25 poll as of Jan. 23. Head Coach Sean O'Regan has seen his program ranked as high as eighth four times so far this season.
The Dukes came in at 105th in the latest NCAA Net Rankings through games on Jan. 24, while James Madison's highest ranking in 2023-24 was 98th through games on Jan. 11. JMU owns the second-highest net ranking behind Marshall (98th).

Parking is available in the Ballard Parking Deck next door to the Atlantic Union Bank Center - parking pass holders should enter through the North Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck while the South Entrance will remain open for general parking.
