JMU Lacrosse Ranked No. 6 in ILWomen/IWLCA Preseason Poll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – James Madison lacrosse will enter the 2024 season ranked No. 6 in the nation in the 2024 ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Preseason Poll, as announced on Monday.

The Dukes' No. 6 preseason ranking matches their final ranking of the 2023 season and is six rankings higher than their 2023 preseason poll as they entered the year at No. 12.

JMU will face eight opponents which are also ranked in the 2024 ILWomen/IWLCA Preseason Poll: North Carolina (No. 3), Maryland (No. 9), Florida (No. 10), Johns Hopkins (No. 14), Virginia (No. 16), Richmond (No. 19), Albany (No. 21) and UConn (No. 22).

The No. 6 ranked Dukes will face off against the No. 3 ranked Tar Heels to begin the 2024 season on Feb. 10 at noon at Sentara Park.
